Celebrate the exceptional Rhône varietals and the people and wineries
behind them as the prestigious Hospice du Rhône brings its message and mission
to Blackberry Farm for the first time. Hospice du Rhône “represents and embodies
the spirit of Rhône varieties and those who produce the wines made of these
unique winegrapes.” These are some of the greatest producers in the world of
wine and are sure to make for a rare gathering here at Blackberry Farm.
André Brunel of Les Cailloux in Châteauneuf du Pape, France, and Chris
Ringland of Chris Ringland Wines in the Barossa Valley of Australia will
headline this amazing and unique experience. These giants of Rhône will share
knowledge and passion with guests, along with some of their most special
vintages. Also sharing their Rhône varietals will be Paul Lato of Paul
Lato Wines and Scott Hawley of Torrin Wines, both in California.
Additionally, guests will experience some of California’s up-and-coming
stars. Joining these amazing wine producers will be Chefs Sondra Bernstein and
John Toulze of the girl & the fig, one of Sonoma’s favorite restaurants.
Bernstein is also the author of the “the girl & the fig Cookbook” published
by Simon & Schuster in April 2004.
