Event Description

Seasoned, celebrated chefs speak to us through their cuisine, their restaurants and their cookbooks, but getting a firsthand glimpse into their minds and spirits is a rare opportunity. Chef Eric Ripert, of Michelin three-star restaurant Le Bernardin, views every experience—whether it’s his daily walk to work through Central Park or a journey to a far-off land—as an opportunity to learn and be inspired. His lifelong pursuit of discovery has resulted in the nuanced, refined, seafood-focused cuisine that has earned Le Bernardin three stars in the Michelin Guide and four stars in the New York Times every year since awarded. Ever-evolving, his explorations of modern French cuisine and elegant service have made him one of the most respected voices in the culinary world. He shares his journey in his cookbooks and his recent memoir, 32 Yolks. At Blackberry Farm, we will introduce Eric to some of the rare ingredients and techniques of our region and have a conversation with him about his approach to travel, work, family and pleasure. Renowned Importer Eric Solomon, who never fails to amaze, will round out the conversation with his thoughtful wine selections, including a few vintages from one of his star producers.

Nilou Motamed, most recently recognized for her role as Editor-in-Chief of Food & Wine Magazine, is bringing her wine, food and travel knowledge to the Farm as the moderator for Eric x Eric. Nilou is a longtime regional panelist for the James Beard Foundation Restaurant and Chef Awards. Enjoy incredible conservation as Nilou interacts with Chef Eric Ripert, of Le Bernardin, and renowned Importer Eric Solomon. Beyond enjoying great food and beautifully paired wines, this event is an opportunity to connect with experts of their craft in an unforgettable setting.
