Canadian-born, Southern transplant Chef Hugh Acheson from Five & Ten in Athens, Georgia, and the new Empire State South in Atlanta, Georgia, will celebrate Southern style this Summer. Acheson’s fresh approach to Southern food has earned him a great deal of recognition, including Food & Wine’s Best New Chef in 2002, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution Restaurant of the Year 2007, a four-time James Beard Award nominee for Best Chef Southeast in 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010, and a 2007 Rising Star from starchefs.com. To top off this special event, we are thrilled to welcome Piero Incisa Della Rochetta of Sassacaia and Bodega Chacra. A third-generation winemaker to one of the most renowned wineries in Italy, Mr. Incisa spent his childhood on the family estate in the Maremma district of Tuscany, privy to the exclusive centuries-old winemaking and vineyard management traditions to which he now claims his own expertise. Be sure not to miss this rare opportunity of mixed cultures with the breathtaking  backdrop of Blackberry Farm!
