Excellence
Join us this Spring for true excellence — both on the plate and in the glass — as we welcome Swiss native Chef Daniel Humm of Eleven Madison Park and acclaimed wine importer Eric Solomon, who has built a reputation for bringing some of Europe’s finest vintages to the forefront. Together, this dynamic pair will offer guests the chance to experience the best of wine and cuisine during one unforgettable event at Blackberry Farm. As the Executive Chef of Eleven Madison Park, Daniel Humm creates modern, sophisticated cuisine that emphasizes purity, simplicity and seasonal flavors and ingredients. Recently, Humm has revolutionized the approach to three-star Michelin dining with an original menu concept. Growing up in Switzerland, he knew from an early age that his true passion was cooking — and today, he is one of the most respected and recognized chefs in New York City. In 2010, he was named Best Chef: New York City by the James Beard Foundation, and this year, Eleven Madison Park received three Michelin stars. Sharing wines for this special event will be Eric Solomon, the owner and force behind European Cellars in Charlotte, NC , and a longtime special friend of Blackberry Farm. Eric was named Top U.S. Importer by Food & Wine in 2007 — and together with his wife, winemaker Daphne Glorian of Clos Erasmus, he continues to champion native grapes and uncover superstars-in-the-making.
