Always a crowd favorite, Chef Nancy Silverton will be paying a special visit to the farm this November — and cooking up both sweet and savory dishes that simply cannot be missed. Cofounder and head baker at La Brea Bakery and head pastry chef at Campanile Restaurant, Nancy has received countless awards for her excellence in baking and pastry, including Pastry Chef of the Year in 1990 by the James Beard Foundation. Nancy has authored several pastry and baking books and continues to be recognized by her peers in the culinary world. Nancy also opened Pizzeria Mozza with Joe Bastianich and Mario Batali to great acclaim in Los Angeles, with locations now in Newport Beach and Singapore. If you were to ask Robin Lail of Lail Vineyards, what set her wine apart from the rest, she would simply say “tradition.” As a fifth-generation winemaker in Napa Valley, Lail worked under Robert Mondavi and also co-founded Merryvale Vineyards with Bill Harlan. She sold Merryvale and Dominus and established Lail Vineyards with Philippe Melka as winemaker. Quality is key, and it shows with one sip of Lail wines.
