Chickens play an integral role in the whole farm environment. Buff Orington, Barred Rock, White Rock, Australorp, Light Brahma, Aracauna, Silver Wyandotte, Delaware and Speckled Sussex are the heritage breeds of chickens inhabiting our mobile coops. These coops are moved about the farm. This allows the chickens to roam about feeding on a varied diet, including pests that are harmful to garden plantings, which lends extraordinary flavor to their eggs. By keeping chickens, the kitchens receive their quality eggs, and the farm benefits from their natural inclination to scratch and eat pests.
