Candy Cane Julep

Holiday Cocktail #8 Candy Cane Julep: For all the Mrs. Claus' out there.

Candy Can Syrup: Makes 8 drinks  6oz. Pack of Candy Canes

16 oz. Hot Water
½ C. Sugar
Unwrap the Candy Canes and break them up.  Add hot water and stir until dissolved.  Stir in sugar until it is dissolved as well.  Refrigerate.


3 oz. Bourbon
2 oz. Candy Cane Syrup
3 oz. Sparkling Water
Grape Fruit Twist
Regan’s Orange Bitters
Angostura Bitters
 In a rocks glass with crushed ice (pellet ice from Sonic also works well), add bourbon, Candy Cane Syrup, both bitters and top with the sparkling water.  Add your grapefruit twist and stir.  Candy Canes make a great stir stick.
