Panther Creek Paddle and Hike  (seasonal adventure- currently not booking)
This adventure is “off the map,” yet surprisingly accessible if you don’t mind getting your feet a little wet! Paddle a canoe or kayak into the tailwaters of Panther Creek, then hop out onto an old railroad bed turned hiking trail which will guide you to Garner Falls, a waterfall only seen by the few that explore this little-known area. The cool mountain stream is inviting and refreshing. If you are really brave, wear your swimsuit so you can dip into one of the best swimming holes in the Smokies!  If you have a little more time, you may visit the site of an old slate mine. Interesting artifacts can be seen along the forest floor and creekside. Add box lunches for a picnic in the great outdoors.

This trip is a 4 hour or half-day canoe or kayak trip. Long pants are recommended as trail is not highly maintained, and a change of shoes for hiking and water.
