Peanut Butter 5 Ways
Want to know something really cool about our peanut butter? It's completely natural and so simple…it is made up of only two ingredients: peanuts and a little salt! Because of its straightforward peanut-i-ness you can use it for so many recipes —way beyond a typical PB+J!
1) Peanut Butter Cookies – Everyone has their favorite recipe, but take your peanut butter cookies to the next level with Blackberry Farm Peanut Butter. Since it is simply straight peanuts, it gives a cookie recipe more of a peanut flavor and the texture is different because we use a special grinding setting and bursts of sea salt....hmmm. We are getting hungry already!
2) Peanut Bourbon Glazed Steaks – A unique glaze for your grilled steaks…you have got to check out this recipe. The peanut and bourbon flavors work with the grill and smoke to make a steak that is well…to die for (not to mention, super southern)! See Chef Josh Feather's Recipe here!
3) Peanut Soup – A favorite at Blackberry Farm and probably one of the easiest recipes for soup! Think carrots, onions, leeks, celery, and peanut butter…with natural peanut butter like ours, you can count on the peanut flavor and not worry about the sugars that come in brand names. Cook up this recipe tonight!
4) Peanut Butter and Jelly French Toast – use your favorite French Toast recipe and then take it to a new level with a touch of peanut butter and jelly! Chef Feather's newest addition to the breakfast menu at Blackberry Farm is a merger of favorites. When you grill the French Toast and flip it, put some peanut butter on one side and jelly on the other, when they are ready to serve place the two sides together and top with Blackberry Jam Syrup and you have the breakfast of champions (warning: not low calorie…but full of deliciousness!)
5) Sweet Potato Peanut Butter Salad – So simple and delicious…take a 1/4 cup of peanut butter, half cup of extra virgin olive oil, 4 tablespoons of Apple Cider Vinegar and then blend the ingredients. Roast the sweet potatoes till tender, cool, then stir the dressing in with the sweet potatoes. Salt and pepper to taste. Enjoy!
