Blackberry and Aperol cocktail? Yes, please!

1oz Aperol
.5oz Lillet Blanc
3 Blackberries
.25oz Lime Juice
.25oz Blackberry Syrup
Crushed Ice

In a shaking tin, add the blackberry syrup, lime juice and blackberries with ice and shake for 45 seconds. Strain this mixture into a rocks glass. Fill glass with crushed ice. In the same mixing tin now add Aperol and Lillet. Shake until cold and strain over the crushed ice. Garnish with a blackberry and lime twist.

For Blackberry Syrup
Pick through 10 containers of blackberries and put into a pot with 5 cups of hot water & 2.5 cups of white sugar. Place pot on stove over medium-low heat and stir occasionally. Reduce for roughly 1 hour 20 minutes, then strain and chill.
