Sunset Hike to Look Rock
The winter horizon offers beautiful colors late in the afternoon on top of Chilhowee Mountain. Your guide will show you the short path to the Look Rock Fire Tower, a favorite local spot to view the surrounding landscape in 360 degrees. Looking east, you will see the soft ridgelines of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and looking west, the twinkle of the lights of neighboring Maryville and Knoxville. A quick, scenic drive from Blackberry Farm, this is a perfect pre-dinner romantic rendezvous.

Birding Walk
A relaxing and rewarding way for lovebirds to spend a snowy morning, birding at Blackberry is one of our new favorite pastimes! These beautiful creatures will amaze and inspire you. Learn to identify calls and songs, explore various habitats and count species within them. Look for the bald eagles above Hesse Creek, and tally your numbers in front of the fire at the Yallerhammer pavilion.

Letterboxing
This lively style of geocaching (think treasure hunt with a GPS) will lead you around Blackberry’s property, viewing all sides of the farm and encouraging collaboration as you search for the hidden caches. You will “collect” letters, which you will unscramble to redeem your prize. Be sure to ask about customizing a special message for your sweetheart!

Tandem Cycling Workshop
What could be more fun than exploring Blackberry Farm on a bicycle built for two? Learn the basics of controlling the bike and pedaling together in unison. After all, two is better than one! (Available late February)

Great Smokies Driving Tour
If you are into the relaxing style of adventure, let one of our guides take you on an easygoing excursion through one of our favorite areas of the National Park – Cades Cove, Tremont, Elkmont, or Metcalf Bottoms. If you want to stretch your legs, there are short detours to be made to waterfalls, views, or areas of historical interest. Bring along some hot chocolate and enjoy the ride.
