Pro-Am Challenge Winners Announced
Cyclists attending the Pro-Am Challenge had the opportunity to win $30,000 in funds for various charities! The winning team was George Hincapie’s 9-person team. George’s team picked Best Buddies International to receive a $10,000 grant from the Blackberry Farm Foundation. In addition, the winner for best overall points was Brad Coobb and the most admired Pro-Am rider went to Lachlan McKinnen-Patterson. Both Brad and Lachlan will also receive a $10,000 grant from the Blackberry Farm Foundation for the charity of their choice!

George Hincape Leads Team to Pro-Am Victory
Former professional cyclist George Hincapie led his team to the first ever Pro-Am team victory September 20-23, 2015, at Blackberry Farm. George and his team choose Best Buddies International to donate their $10,000 prize money from the Blackberry Farm Foundation. Best Buddies International is the world’s largest organization dedicated to ending the social, physical and economic isolation of the 200 million people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). The Best Buddies programs help people with IDD form meaningful friendships with their peers, secure successful jobs, live independently, improve public speaking, self-advocacy and communication skills, and feel valued by society.
