The Blackberry Farm Foundation announced its 2024 grant donations, totaling more than $112,000 given to East Tennessee charities and organizations. This year’s grants continue the foundation’s support for Boys & Girls Club of Blount County, Special Growers/Special Opps, Inc., Pellissippi State Culinary Center-Blount County Campus, and Shop with a Cop. This year, YWCA Knoxville & the Tennessee Valley and Maryville Jr. High School’s culinary class were also awarded grant donations.
“It’s truly our honor to be able to offer our continued support to these organizations,” said Blackberry Proprietor Mary Celeste Beall. “It takes incredibly hardworking and devoted individuals and teams to serve a community with heart and compassion, and we’re so thankful for the work of everyone involved in these programs.”
The Blackberry Farm Foundation grants are given to local charitable organizations that focus their services on children and food-related causes. Through the efforts of the foundation, the Blackberry family of brands has donated more than $2 million to local charities over the last decade, including its 2024 gifts which total $112,880.
“Hospitality extends well beyond the table at a restaurant or the front doors of a hotel,” said Blackberry President Matt Alexander. “These organizations have an impactful reach across East Tennessee, making sure that our citizens feel welcome and supported. Thanks to the generosity of Blackberry guests, team and community partners, we’re proud to support the missions of these organizations and celebrate the work they do.”
