Blackberry Farm Foundation 2016 Grants News Releases

(Walland, TN; January 15, 2016)- The Blackberry Farm Foundation is honored to have donated more than $80,000 to area charities in 2016 including Maryville City Schools, Boys & Girls Club of Blount County, Harmony Family Center, Special Opps, Inc., Pellissippi State Community College Foundation and The Dollywood Foundation. Other grants in 2016 included a $100,000 grant to the Edible Schoolyard, $30,000 to No Kid Hungry/Share our Strength, and $10,000 to the Krempels Center.

In addition, the Blackberry Farm Foundation fulfilled a $180,000 commitment to Maryville City Schools from a 2015 grant in 2016 of $90,000 and gave an additional $30,000 in 2016 to the project. The grant is for the new culinary classroom and Café le Reve at the former Downtown Autobody building scheduled to open in 2017.
